Fresh Details Surface About the Location of Rob and Michele Singer Reiner's Bodies

Recent details have emerged concerning the tragic passing of acclaimed director Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were found at their residence home on Sunday.

A Initial Report

According to a report referencing a person close to the family, a massage therapist scheduled for an appointment initially became concerned after failing to get inside the residence. This individual then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides in the vicinity.

Upon entering the residence, Romy found her father's body. Accounts indicate she then fled the house in anguish, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was also present. Her roommate who had gone with her contacted 911. Subsequently, first responders located Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Proceedings

Law enforcement have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of premeditated murder, along with the alleged use of a deadly weapon, said to be a knife. He is now detained without bail.

Clarifications

The anonymous source questioned several previously reported details. They said that while Romy Reiner told first responders that her brother Nick resided in a guesthouse on the estate, she did not identify him as a suspect at that juncture.

Furthermore disputed circulated notions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been unusually "apprehensive" about Nick's actions in the weeks leading up to the incident. Rather the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

This correction applies to descriptions of alleged "unstable" behavior by Nick at a event held by Conan O'Brien on the night before the bodies were found. Although the source said they were unable to confirm whether Rob had "rebuked" his son at the party, they said that reports of a "heated argument" between the two were inaccurate.

Investigation Details

According to law enforcement officials, the coroner had not yet established as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died on Saturday evening or on Sunday. Some accounts indicated the state of their bodies implied they had been dead for a number of hours.

Nick Reiner was apprehended at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park area, about 15 miles from the residence. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, indicated his client had a medical issue and would be unable to attend until Wednesday at the earliest.
